Lea Michele is opening up about late boyfriend Cory Monteith on new album Louder.

The songstress’ track “If You Say So” takes place a week after the passing of an unnamed subject, with lyrics expressing Lea attempting to shake off the numbness after “seven whole days.”

In the chorus, she recalls their last encounter, singing: “You said I love you girl/I said I love you more/And a breath, a pause, you said, if you say so/If you say so/If you say so.”

Lea also opened up in an interview with Glamour regarding Cory and admits although he’s gone, he’s always present.

“I lost my grandfather a couple of years ago and I always feel that he’s watching over me. I feel the exact same way about Cory,” she reveals. “Every day when I go running, I feel like he’s pushing me to run harder.”

The actress also says even though she and Cory talked about marriage and kids, she does admit one day she’ll have to be with someone else, just not any time soon.

“I’ve only ever had serious relationships, so it’s an adjustment putting myself back into a place of being alone. And I was under a Cory Monteith spell … it’ll take time to readjust my mind and I’m really not wanting to do that right now. I feel like it’s so important to make sure that I’m 100% OK before I can get into a relationship. But people have to understand that I can’t be alone forever. Cory wouldn’t want that.”
