Personality Traits That’ll Hurt Your Chances Of Getting Hired

Let’s be real...there are certain characteristics that an employer looks for during the interview process. You’ve got to have that personality that’ll mesh well with anyone, like being bubbly and a team player. Employers feel good knowing that you’ll do whatever they need in order to make sure that the job gets done correctly.

Of course that means that there’s traits that shouldn’t enter the interview at all.The Motley Foolis here to spell out for you:

  • Arrogance- There’s a difference between being arrogant and confident. You can talk about your six-years of amazing skills, but be modest about it.
  • Dishonesty- Telling the truth isn’t hard. Trust me, telling one-lie will only lead to a deep whole that you can’t get out of.
  • Entitlement- This screams that you won’t work hard to the employer, so why would they want to hire you?
  • Unreliability- If your interview starts at 10am, you better be there by 9:45am (the latest). Being prompt proves that you’re reliable.
  • Closed-mindedness- When you’re working on a team, you’ve got to be able to see things from different perspectives. Not everyone thinks like you.

You’ve officially been warned!
